E02

Coleman E02: no water flow detected

E02 means that after you start, or while filtering or heating, the water flow sensors do not detect water flow. This line is from Coleman owner's manual 90427E, document 303021298886, for pumps S100105 and S100205. It is not the 2025 European Lay-Z-Spa chart.

After starting or during the functions of filtering or/and heating, the water flow sensors do not detect water flow.

Models this page covers: S100105, S100205

Do this first

  1. Inlets and outlets

    Take both stopper caps off

The manual lists the two stopper caps still inside the pool. Remove both before heating. The assembly drawings in the same manual show where they sit.

  1. Filter

    Take the filter set out

Remove the filter set and press the filter or heat button. If the alarm stays off, clean or change the filter cartridges. Do not open the pump.

  2. Inlets and outlets

Feel for water at the outlet

Start filter or heat and hold your hand in front of the outlet inside the pool. No water means the manual says the water pump is broken. Water with the alarm still showing means it says the flow sensors are broken. Unplug and use Bestway USA support. Do not open the housing.

  3. Filter

    Clean a blocked cartridge

The manual also lists filter blockage. Clean the filter and check it for damage. Replace it or put it back. If you need the part, use the Bestway USA support page.

  4. Inlets and outlets

    Rinse the debris screens

The manual says hard water can block the debris screens with calcium. Empty the spa, run a garden hose through the pipes from outside and from inside, and use a toothbrush on debris that stays. Do not open the pump.

  5. Inlets and outlets

    Look at pipes and washers

The manual lists bent liner pipes and perished or worn washers in the couplings. Look along the connection for a bend. Unscrew the couplings and inspect the washer. If a pipe is bent or a washer is damaged, stop and use Bestway USA support.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • Contact Bestway USA when no water leaves the outlet, when water leaves and the alarm stays, or when a pipe or washer is damaged. The manual sends those cases to its support page. Do not open the pump.
