What is on the display?
Choose the code on the Lay-Z-Spa pump. The line that appears is from the 2025 AirJet manual 303021379874 and the 2025 HydroJet manual 303021371869, for pump models S100202, S200202, S300202 and S400202. A code that is not listed has no meaning here.
Choose a code. The manual line and the first check show up here.
E01
The water flow sensors work without pressing the filter or heat button.
Wording in the manual
Do this first: Unplug the pump. The manual says to tap the side of the pump lightly, not hard, then plug it back in, so the sensor flags can drop. Do not open the housing.
Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
E02
The water flow sensors do not detect enough water during the filtering and/or heating functions.
Wording in the manual
Do this first: The manual lists the two stopper caps still inside the spa as a cause. Remove both caps from the inlet and the outlet before you filter or heat, then plug the pump back in.
Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
E03
The pump's thermometer reads the water temperature below 4°C (39°F).
Wording in the manual
Do this first: Unplug the pump. The error table says the spa is not designed to run with water below 4°C (39°F).
Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
E04
The pump's thermometer reads the water temperature as over 50°C (122°F).
Wording in the manual
Do this first: Unplug now and do not get in. The manual says the spa is not designed for water above 40°C (104°F). Restart only when the water is 38°C (100°F) or cooler.
Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
E05
The pump's thermometer connection has issues.
Wording in the manual
Do this first: Unplug the spa, wait 5 minutes, then plug it back in and switch the pump on. That is the manual's step for this alarm.
Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
E08
The pump's thermometer reads the water temperature as over 52°C (125.6°F).
Wording in the manual

Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
6CF
Ground connection failed.

Questions
What if my code is not in the list?
There is no meaning for it here. A code is published only after it is quoted from the manufacturer manual. The 2025 manuals checked for this page list E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E08, E15, E18, E19 and 6CF.
The first character looks like a G. Is that 6CF?
The 2025 AirJet and HydroJet manuals print 6CF next to the words Ground connection failed. Choose 6CF. This page does not add a separate GCF code.
Does this cover every Lay-Z-Spa?
No. It covers the codes in the 2025 AirJet manual 303021379874 and the 2025 HydroJet manual 303021371869, for pump models S100202, S200202, S300202 and S400202. A 2020 manual states the cold and hot alarms differently.
