Lay-Z-Spa E19: power board is too hot

E19 means the power board temperature is too high. This wording is from the 2025 AirJet manual 303021379874 and the 2025 HydroJet manual 303021371869, for pump models S100202, S200202, S300202 and S400202. Spa names such as Paris or Miami are not in these manuals. A 2020 edition states the cold and hot alarms differently, so do not use this page for that edition.

The power board temperature is too high.

Models this page covers: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202

Do this first

  1. Power

Unplug and leave the housing closed

Unplug the pump and leave it unplugged. The manual's only listed solution is Bestway support. It does not give a button that clears a hot power board. Do not open the housing.

  1. Wait

Let it cool while it stays unplugged

Leave the pump unplugged so the board can cool. Do not open the case to look at it. The warranty section of the same manuals says opening the pump is not covered.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • Contact Bestway while the pump stays unplugged. E19 means the power board is too hot. That is not a filter, a setting, or a job for the heater wiring at home.

Questions

Will a reset button clear E19?

Not according to these 2025 manuals. The only solution they print for a power board that is too hot is to visit Bestway support. They do not list a reset for E19.
