Intex PureSpa E90: no water flow

E90 means there is no water flow. This wording is from Intex manual 347IO, printed 16 May 2024, for PureSpa SB-H20 at 220-240 V, 50 Hz. The parts table lists 28426, 28430 and 28476 for 4 adults (795 L) and 28428 and 28432 for 6 adults (1098 L). Manual 254PO from 2017 is 110-120 V and is not this chart.

Models this page covers: 28426, 28430, 28476, 28428, 28432

Do this first

  1. Power

Turn the control unit off and unplug it

The chart's first line is to turn the control unit off and unplug it. Leave the housing closed.

  1. Inlets and outlets

    Clean the outlet cover grid

Check that the outlet cover grid is clean and free from obstructions. The chart names that grid before the cartridge.

  2. Filter

    Clean or replace the cartridge

Clean or replace the cartridge. The chart points to the maintenance and storage section for that job. It does not print a dose.

  3. Inlets and outlets

Check the inlet and the outlet

Make sure the inlet and outlet connections on the spa and on the filter pump are not blocked. Do not open the housing to get there.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • Contact an Intex service centre if E90 remains. The chart stops at the grid, the cartridge, and the connections. It does not tell you to open the control unit.

Questions

Does this chart mention a low water line?

No. Page 16 lists no water flow, then the outlet grid, the cartridge, blocked inlet and outlet connections, and keeping the water sanitized so the cartridge stays unclogged. It does not name a low water line, and it does not print a chemical dose.

Is E91 the salt code on this spa?

E91 is not in manual 347IO. Do not use a salt-chlorinator chart for this PureSpa. This page only covers the codes printed on page 16.
