FLO

Gecko FLO: no water flow

FLO means the system has detected no water flow during the main pump’s operation. This line is from Gecko guide 9919-101313-D, July 2023, for in.yj, in.ye, in.yt, and in.xe, on an LCD or LED keypad. A color keypad is a different book.

The system has detected no water flow during the main pumps operation.

Models this page covers: in.yj, in.ye, in.yt, in.xe

Do this first

  1. Inlets and outlets

    Open the circulation valves

The guide says to make sure the water circulation valves are open. Do not open the control pack.

  1. Water level

    Check the water level

The same line says the water level must be high enough. Top up only to the spa’s normal fill line.

  2. Filter

    Clear the filter

The guide says to verify that nothing is blocking the filter. Rinse or replace a blocked cartridge, then try the pump again.

  3. Settings

    Run the pump that heats

The guide says the pump linked to the heater must be running. If the pumps sound wrong, it also describes trapped air: run the pump and slowly loosen one union nut, then tighten it. Stop if water sprays.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • If FLO remains, a service center checks the in.flo cable over the heater. The guide then says to replace the heater, and the pack if that does not clear it. The pack has no user-serviceable parts.

Questions

Does the guide give a flow number?

Yes. It names a minimum of 68 LPM (18 GPM) and does not give a home test for that figure. If the valves, level, and filter are already right and FLO remains, call a service center.

Is the low-level menu part of this check?

The guide says the selected low-level must match the spa, and that the heating pump is set in the dealer menu (HP). That menu is not a homeowner step. UPL is the separate message for a missing configuration.
