UPL

Gecko UPL: no low-level configuration

UPL means no low-level configuration is present in the control system memory. Without it, the guide says the system cannot function. Programming is done with a valid in.stik, which is a dealer tool, not a button on the keypad.

No low-level configuration is present in the control system memory, insert a valid in.stik to program the control unit.

UPL is a missing configuration, not a filter or water-level code. Do not open the pack and do not try to invent a setup on the keypad.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • Ask your spa dealer to load the configuration with a valid in.stik. The guide’s line 1-800-784-3256 is for authorized service technicians and dealers only.

Questions

Can I clear UPL by turning the spa off?

This page does not say that. It says to insert a valid in.stik so the low-level configuration can be programmed. Until a dealer does that, the system cannot function.
