M026
Balboa M026: sensors are out of sync
M026 means the sensors are out of sync and the fault has been established for at least 1 hour. This wording is from Balboa guide 40985-G, 26 March 2014, for BP2500 and BP2600 with a TP800 or TP900 panel. The fault log example on page 13 uses this same message.
The temperature sensors ARE out of sync. The fault above has been established for at least 1 hour.
Models this page covers: BP2500, BP2600, TP900, TP800

Power
Leave the sensors connected
The asterisk means a panel reset exists, and the text still says call for service. Do not pull the sensor plugs. Leave the housing closed.
When to call a technician
Call a technician now if
- The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
- You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
- The code comes back after one reset.
Also call for these, from the manual
- Call for service for M026. An hour of sensors that are out of sync is not a filter setting.
Questions
Can I clear M026 from the fault log myself?
The fault log is a record of the last 24 faults for a service tech. This guide does not give an owner procedure for repairing M026. It says call for service.
