Coleman E05: thermometer connection

E05 means the pump's thermometer connection has issues. The table gives two reasons: the connectors do not work properly, or the thermometer is broken. This line is from Coleman owner's manual 90427E, document 303021298886, for pumps S100105 and S100205. The only printed solution is Bestway USA support.

Do this first

    Unplug and leave it closed

    Unplug the pump and leave the housing closed. Page 17 does not give a wait time, a button sequence, or a plug to reseat for E05.

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Questions

Does this manual say to unplug for five minutes?

No. Page 17 of manual 90427E only sends E05 to the Bestway USA support page. A five-minute restart is not printed on this code. Do not take that step from a different brand's manual.
