OH

Gecko OH: spa water at 108°F

OH means the spa water has reached 108°F (42°C). The guide says not to enter the water. This is not HL, which is 119°F (48°C) at the heater. The wording is from guide 9919-101313-D, July 2023, including the printed phrase “the spas water temperature”.

The spas water temperature has reached 108°F (42°C). Do not enter spa water!

Models this page covers: in.yj, in.ye, in.yt, in.xe

Do this first

  1. Power

Stay out and switch it off

Do not enter the water. Turn the spa off. Do not open the pack, and do not use a meter on the heater.

  1. Wait

Cool the water if the weather is hot

If a digital thermometer agrees the water is above 108°F (42°C) and the weather is hot, the guide says to remove the cover, let the spa cool, add cold water, and shorten the filtration cycle.

  2. Settings

Drop the setpoint and stop the pumps

If the weather is not the cause, set the consigned value below the water temperature. The heater indicator should turn off. Turn the pumps off. The main pump may stay on during a filtration cycle.

When to call a technician

Call a technician now if

  • The breaker or the RCD trips when the pump is plugged in.
  • You smell burning, see melted plastic, or the water is too hot to touch.
  • The code comes back after one reset.

Also call for these, from the manual

  • If a pump keeps running outside a filtration cycle, or OH remains, the guide says to replace the heater or the pack. That is an authorized service center. Do not open the pack.

Questions

Is OH the same message as HL?

No. OH is spa water at 108°F (42°C). HL is water in the heater at 119°F (48°C). Both say not to enter the water. AOH is the skirt-temperature message, not a water temperature.
