Set up the spa
Do not unfold it in cold air, do not fill it with water at 6°C (42.8°F) or below, and do not use an extension lead.
These steps are from the 2025 Bestway AirJet manual 303021379874 and the 2025 HydroJet manual 303021371869. Both name pump models S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202. Marketing names such as Paris or Miami are not in these manuals. A 2020 edition states the cold and hot alarms differently, so the temperatures on this page are only for the 2025 manuals.
Before you inflate it
If the air around the spa is below 15°C (59°F), do not unfold or inflate it outside. Inflate it indoors with the spa pump, then continue the setup outside.
Fill water has to be above 6°C (42.8°F). At that temperature or below, starting the heater brings up E03.
Plug the pump straight into a grounded wall socket. The manuals forbid an extension cord and a multi-plug adapter. The socket is more than 4 m (13.1 feet) from the spa, and the cord is the furthest the pump can sit.
Pumps named in these manuals: S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202
Where a manual says to follow a drawing, this page does not redraw it. The PDF is linked below.

Pick the ground
The surface has to be flat and smooth and able to carry the water and the people the whole time the spa stays there. Nothing hard under the liner. Drainage for water that spills. No overhead power lines or trees, and no underground pipes or cables. Keep it away from the house entrance and from furniture. Suggested surfaces in the manuals: grass, ground, concrete, and other surfaces that meet those conditions. Avoid mud, sand, gravel, a deck, a balcony, a driveway, a platform, and soft or loose soil. Do not assemble it on carpet, untreated cork, timber, or other porous floors.
-
Inflate only when the material can flex
The manuals say not to unfold or inflate below 15°C (59°F). Below that, unfold and inflate indoors with the spa pump. They also say to inflate when the outdoor air is above 15°C (59°F). Do not cover the holes on the inflation hose, do not use an air compressor, and do not drag the liner over rough ground. Laying the liner in the sun before assembly is in the manual, to soften it. Do not leave the surface in direct sun for long periods afterwards. Use the cover.

Fill, then plug in
Connect the pump and fill with water above 6°C (42.8°F). Do not use salt water. Do not run the pump unless the spa is filled. Do not pour water hotter than 40°C (104°F) into the spa. The plug goes directly into a grounded wall socket that can take the load and stand humidity. Test the PRCD on the cord before each use by following the instructions on the pump. If that test fails, do not use the pump. Keep at least 1 m (3 ft. 3 in.) clear around the spa.
-
Cover it while it heats
Keep the cover on tightly during heating and whenever the spa is not being used. Take it off during use. Do not put the cover on the ground or on wood. An insulating ground cloth under the spa is recommended.
Indoors
Humidity is a normal result of using the spa, and the manuals say it can damage wood and the room if you do not plan for it. Ventilate the room. The manuals say to ask an expert whether the room is ventilated before you use the spa there. Water can leave the spa while you fill it, drain it, or use it, so the room needs drainage too.
Massage, once it is full
The AirJet manual gives the massage button a 30-minute auto shutoff. Do not run that massage system with the cover attached. Air can collect inside and damage the cover.
The HydroJet manual includes that cover warning and also a HydroJet massage button. That one shuts off after 1 hour. Do not run the HydroJet massage system without water.
The bonding terminal is an electrician’s job
Both manuals recommend a qualified electrician connect the pump to an equipotential bonding terminal with a minimum 2.5mm2 solid copper conductor. This page does not turn that into a wiring guide. If you are unsure about the socket, the manuals say to ask an electrician before use.

Questions
Can I use an extension lead if the socket is too far?
No. Both manuals say the plug goes straight into the wall socket, and they forbid an extension cord and a multi-plug adapter. The socket has to be more than 4 m (13.1 feet) from the spa. The length of the supplied cord is the maximum distance.
What if the tap water is very cold?
Fill water above 6°C (42.8°F) only. The winter section of these manuals says E03 appears if you start the heater with water at that temperature or below.
