Winter and Freeze Shield
These manuals describe two different winter choices. Read both before you leave the spa outside.
These steps are from the 2025 Bestway AirJet manual 303021379874 and the 2025 HydroJet manual 303021371869. Both name pump models S100202, S200202, S300202, S400202. Marketing names such as Paris or Miami are not in these manuals. A 2020 edition states the cold and hot alarms differently, so the temperatures on this page are only for the 2025 manuals.
What to do when it is cold
If the spa stays set up and the outdoor temperature is below 6°C (42.8°F), the heater must stay on. Freeze Shield can then keep the inside between 6°C (42.8°F) and 10°C (50°F).
If an alarm shows on the display, Freeze Shield stops. Check the spa while it is below that outdoor temperature.
If you will be away for a long time and it may fall below 6°C (42.8°F), or if the outdoor temperature reaches -10°C (14°F), take the spa down and store it. Do not keep using it at that low outdoor temperature.

Where a manual says to follow a drawing, this page does not redraw it. The PDF is linked below.

Heater on while it is set up below 6°C
Below 6°C (42.8°F) outdoors, the heater must always be on so Freeze Shield can work. The band it can hold is 6°C (42.8°F) to 10°C (50°F). The manuals do not say how many hours a day the element runs to do that.
-
An alarm cancels the protection
If alarms appear, Freeze Shield stops. Keep checking the spa when it is below 6°C (42.8°F) outside.
-
Away from home, or at -10°C, store it
A long absence with a risk of temperatures below 6°C (42.8°F) means disassemble and store it, following the storage steps. At -10°C (14°F) outdoors, do not use the spa. Damage from using it in these conditions is the owner’s responsibility, the manuals say.

Setting it up in winter
Follow the winter setup lines so the heater and the liner are not damaged. Do not unfold or inflate below 15°C (59°F). Do that indoors with the pump. Fill water above 6°C (42.8°F), or E03 appears when the heater starts.
The other sentence in the same manuals
The heat-loss warnings also say you can consider turning the heater off for a long period when the spa offers that option, as long as residual disinfection and pH are still maintained, and that you can lower the set temperature when nobody is using it.
They do not say to turn the heater off while the spa is left outdoors below 6°C (42.8°F). Below that temperature the heater must stay on, or the spa comes down and goes into storage.

Questions
Can Freeze Shield cover a week away?
If it may fall below 6°C (42.8°F) while you are away for a long time, the manuals say to disassemble and store the spa. An alarm stops Freeze Shield, and nobody would be there to see it.
What is the coldest outdoor temperature in these manuals?
Do not use the spa when the outdoor temperature reaches -10°C (14°F). Take it down and store it.
